Three North Carolina Republican lawmakers recently introduced legislation that would bar doctors from prescribing transgender drugs to or performing gender transition surgeries on individuals younger than 21.

Senate Bill 514, called the Youth Health Protection Act, is defined as an “act to protect minors from administration of puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones and other related actions, procedures, and treatments.”

The measure, introduced by GOP Sens. Ralph Hise, Warren Daniel, and Norman Sanderson, would also protect the rights of parents to “withhold consent for any treatment, activity, or mental health care services that are designed and intended to form their child’s conceptions of sex and gender or to treat gender dysphoria or gender nonconformity.”

The Conservative Clergy of Color, a group of Black ministers and pastors, announced Monday it published a full-page ad in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution to address the “lies” being told by President Joe Biden and Stacey Abrams (D) about the Georgia Election Integrity Act of 2021.

The advertisement, which features a photo of both of the prominent Democrats, specifically calls out Biden and Abrams for their messaging about the new law, describing their agenda as “devastating” to minority-owned small businesses in Atlanta, amid Major League Baseball’s decision to pull out of the city due to Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp’s signing the election integrity bill into law.

Newt Gingrich declared that the ongoing crisis at the United States’ border with Mexico is not a mistake.

Gingrich argued that President Joe Biden’s administration wanted Vice President Kamala Harris in charge of handling the border crisis “because they knew she wouldn’t do anything.” He said that the administration is “in favor of open borders” because they have the goal of bringing in as many illegal immigrants as possible.

“If you look at a piece of history, sometimes the obvious is accurate. They wanted Harris to be in charge of the border because they knew she wouldn’t do anything,” Gingrich stated. “This is not a mistake, this is why they refuse to call it a crisis. They want the border to be open. Go back and look at the presidential primary debates. They are all in favor of open borders. They are all in favor of eliminating ICE. They are all in favor of eliminating any threat to sanctuary cities. So from their perspective, the next 10 or 15,000 people [coming in] are good because it further increases the number of illegal immigrants in the United States, which is what they want.”
