Just as the refiner passes gold through the fire to burn away impurities, so must the dross of sin be burned away from your heart, for only the pure of heart will see Me. Purity is the quality or state of being pure; faultless, uncompromised, and unadulterated; free from anything that contaminates. Thus, the righteous life walked in purity is one in which the corruption of sin no longer determines the choices made by the individual. Because I AM holy and pure, I demand holiness and purity from those who walk in the Way. You have heard it said, “a little leaven, leavens the whole lump”; but I tell you, a little impurity invalidates integrity and stains the moral fabric of the soul. Beloved, a little sin destroys holiness and moves you further from My presence. Even the slightest sin is a lethal contaminant and must be removed, for no immoral or impure person has any inheritance in My Kingdom. Therefore, My child, endeavor to live in purity; continually confess your every sin to Me, and I will purify you from all unrighteousness.

~ Like obedient children, do not be shaped by the cravings you had formerly in your ignorance. Instead, just like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in everything you do. For it is written, “Kedoshim you shall be, for I AM kadosh.” (“You shall be holy, for I AM holy.”) 1 Peter 1:14-16

Before time itself was measured, the Voice was speaking. The Voice was and is God. This celestial Word remained ever-present with the Creator; His speech shaped the entire cosmos. Immersed in the practice of creating, all things that exist were birthed in Him. His breath filled all things with a living, breathing light—a light that thrives in the depths of darkness, blazes through murky bottoms. It cannot and will not be quenched. A man named John, who was sent by God, was the first to clearly articulate the source of this Light. This baptizer put in plain words the elusive mystery of the Divine Light so all might believe through him. Some wondered whether he might be the Light, but John was not the Light. He merely pointed to the Light. The true Light, who shines upon the heart of everyone, was coming into the cosmos. He entered our world, a world He made; yet the world did not recognize Him. Even though He came to His own people, they refused to listen and receive Him. But for all who did receive and trust in Him, He gave them the right to be reborn as children of God; He bestowed this birthright not by human power or initiative but by God’s will. John 1:1-14 (VOICE)

Many understand worship to be the singing of songs in church, and that it is, but that is but one facet of what true worship is. Worship, when fully engaged, invades every area of your life with lasting ramifications—every thought taken captive and every action reflecting My character in conduct and deed. In short, worship is a lifestyle response to the value you place on our relationship. Those who have been forgiven much, love much, and thus have a full and rich worship experience, for they worship me in spirit and in truth. My child, My desire is that you be of that number. Worship Me in spirit; from the very center of your volition and emotion. Get beyond the physical raising of hands or bowing of knees with the posture of a fully surrendered heart, for, in this, I AM well pleased. Worship Me in truth; both the truth of who I AM and the truth of where you are. Bring your worship before Me in both times of exceeding joy, and in moments of bitter heartache, for I AM the God of the hills and the valleys.

~ But an hour is coming—it is here now—when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people as His worshipers. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” John 4:23-24

The world will tell you that it is possible to have good times all the time, but I tell you, there is no such thing as a trouble-free life. Adversity is inevitable, and accepting this simple truth circumvents the power of the adversary to wreak havoc and generate chaos within you when hard times come. This is vital in unlocking the secret to contentment that eludes many of My children. Beloved, true contentment lies not in prayers to increase your own abilities, but in allowing Me to live through you, for whoever abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit. Do not allow disappointments and setbacks to steal your joy, for earthly troubles will in no way alter your relationship with Me. Though you may walk through utter chaos in the world, you have the ability to remain calm and at peace in your spirit, for I AM the source of authentic peace, and it can be found nowhere else. Neither personal accomplishment, wealth, nor possessions can provide the deep, soul-satisfying comfort that you receive only by communing with Me. I AM enough.

~ I know what it is to live with humble means, and I know what it is to live in prosperity. In any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of contentment—both to be filled and to go hungry, to have abundance and to suffer need. I can do all things through Messiah who strengthens me. Philippians 4:12-13

Though the culture of the world has conditioned you to be an earner, this is not the way of Kingdom economy. In fact, the inclination to earning can often be a detriment to receiving the favor, gifts, and mercies that I have freely given. For some, the habituation is so severe that they do not know how to receive favor without working for it. They find it impossible to believe that eternity in My presence could be offered as a free gift. Assuredly I tell you, I AM your Father—not some impersonal master that you need to prove yourself to in order to earn his love! You are My sons and daughters; known completely and loved unconditionally, it is impossible to earn My favor. Because of My great love, I have redeemed you from a life of sin, filled you with My Holy Spirit, and am continually sanctifying you. You cannot earn any of these freely given gifts. My child, do not compromise My Good News by trying to earn your salvation. I have done the work for you, simply receive what has been freely given.

~ For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not from yourselves—it is the gift of God. It is not based on deeds, so that no one may boast. Ephesians 2:8-9
