On this day, November 11th, a full 55 years ago, the people of Rhodesia, sick of British colonial bullying decided to break-away and made their fateful Unilateral Declaration of Independence. War ensued. But through it all we were a united people who made a stand against the forces of Communism and oppression. On this day, we not only remember our valiant dead, but celebrate our brave independence and glorious heritage.
