Hi, all. I am successfully back on USA.life.
Look for content concerning education & the news you should know.
Especially for my NC Warriors, the NC State Board of Education is proposing a K-12th grade overhaul of the Social Studies Standards to fit a 'democratic republic', not a Constitutionally based republic (which the US is). They will meet to vote on 2/4/21.
Here's a form letter you can send to every member of the NC State Board of Education in protest. The Standards sneak in social justice, Common Core's "College/Career/Civic Readiness" and warped behavorial science.
NC State Board of Education member, Lt. Gov. Robinson is also in opposition of these standards and has information regarding this on his website's press releases.

Dear ______________________________,
I stand in opposition of the new NC Social Studies Standards. Not only do these new Standards use political issues in a harmfully suggestive manner to influence our students, but there are glaring
errors. For example, From the 8th grade Draft of the Standards, it's quick to point out this is a framework and not an entire curriculum, yet, the entire NC Essential Standard course of study is geared to the same 'college/career/civic readiness' that was ushered in under Common Core State Standards. Those, too, were supposedly only a framework, and have proven to be nothing but the curriculum, resources, testing, and, benchmarks for everything in education.
Look at this text, "The standards and objectives in the eighth-grade, North Carolina and United States History will allow students to extend the
foundational skills, concepts, processes, and knowledge gained in grades K-5 and prepare students to be college, career, and
civic ready. Despite there being a different overall focus for each subsequent course, students will explore the content through the
following lenses: inquiry, behavioral sciences, civics and government, economics, geography, and history. As students develop
cognitively, these lenses become more focused based on the grade-level content and disciplinary thinking skills.
Pursuant to the passage of House Bill 1032 An Act Modifying the History and Geography Curricula in the Public Schools of North
Carolina, the new essential standards for eighth grade will integrate United States history with the study of North Carolina history. The
major focus of this course is North Carolina state history with the integration of local and national history. This integrated study helps
students understand and appreciate the legacy of our democratic republic and to develop the skills needed to engage responsibly and
intelligently as North Carolinians."
Article 4, Section 4 of our U.S. Constitution plainly states that the United States (and thus, NC):
"The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on
Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive against domestic violence".
Further in the 8th Grade draft you can find behavioral science has been woven into the framework. This type of science is not appropriate for 8th graders, but
is more suited for those more mature and further along in their educational pursuits. According to this published article, the entire goal behind introducing behavorial
science too young is simply to combine it with machine learning to force a social impact results. THIS IS NOT educating to have a student think freely, but to
perform to a predetermined result. (see: https://www.ideas42.org/blog/b....ehavioral-science-ma

Lastly, I include the NC State Constitution Sections which uphold a strict devotion to the U.S. Constitution. As such, this means we are a Republic, not a Democratic
Republic form of government that these proposed Social Studies Standards claim:
"Sec. 3. Internal government of the State.
The people of this State have the inherent, sole, and exclusive right of regulating the internal government and police thereof, and of altering or abolishing their Constitution and form of government whenever it may be necessary to their safety and happiness; but every such right shall be exercised in pursuance of law and consistently with the Constitution of the United States."
"Sec. 5. Allegiance to the United States.
Every citizen of this State owes paramount allegiance to the Constitution and government of the United States, and no law or ordinance of the State in contravention or subversion thereof can have any binding force."
Sincerely,
What does Pres. Trump's new Exec. Order mean for education?!
Nothing good. Lies about freedom wrapped in funding schemes to chain our nation to a globalistic workforce agenda.
This isn't his job, it's not the federal government's job, either.
Will you stand for it? You shouldn't.
