I rarely read articles from "The Atlantic"... and I've never posted a link to one, until now. Finally, some on the Left are recognizing the genius of Donald J. Trump, President of the United States.

We should not be surprised if we see Executive Orders or attempts by Congress to introduce legislation or even an amendment proposal to forever influence the independence of the courts.

Even for those of us who DID get off our butts and vote, IT'S NOT ENOUGH!

We've been doing that faithfully since the Gingrich Revolution, and look how that's worked out. It's time to try something new, something different, something given to us by the Framers of the Constitution in Article V, but has been ignored for 233 years!

THIS MUCH WE KNOW: Congress has completely abdicated its legislative responsibilities, standing mute as the Presidency has amassed seemingly limitless law-making power through Executive Order, while a spineless Supreme Court looks away, cowed by the threat of court-packing.

THE BALANCE OF POWER IS SEVERELY OUT OF BALANCE, and Article V is the solution… a Convention of States can propose the following:

- Reduce the size, scope and jurisdiction of the federal government.

- Impose fiscal restraint on the federal government.

- Require mandatory Term Limits for all federal officials, including the judiciary
