Day 102: Read Romans 13; (and I'm adding) Psalm 85; Numbers 15-16
From: From the Bible App Devotion "Walking With Him Daily Romans Bible Plan"
Devotional: Read - Romans 13
Romans 13: 9b-10 "... and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law."
Love is the ultimate commandment. Just like when Jesus said this in the gospels, Paul now ties this back to the law. He tells us that in loving one another we are fulfilling the call of the law. This is what the law was originally set up to do, to help show love to one another. How is your love life? Do you shower love on those around you even if you don't know them from Adam? God has called us to be His physical extension of love to our neighbors around us. That is, anyone we come in contact with. Ask God today to let the things that break His heart, break your heart so that His love can shine through.
My Prayer: Dear God, I know it's a cruel world out there with lots of evil going on. Please help me to find the good out there, and help me to use discernment to help those who aren't trying to scam someone, but who really need Your help. Help me to pass on Your love, and mostly, to tell others about true salvation in Jesus Christ. That is the true road to recovery. Thank You. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
