Were you raised around guns that you were taught to respect and handle PROPERLY early in your youth? I had a BB gun (Daisy), .177 Crosman pellet gun, 410ga Stevens and a 16ga Ithaca by the time I was 10 (or younger). The pic is my mom and in the upper right is the rifle rack in our dining area, the bottom 2 were mine and yes, I COULD easily reach them as I was tall for my age. The guns ALL had bullets in their magazines but the chambers were empty (the 410 was a single shot so it was empty but there was ammo in the rack). Mom died when I was 13 so this had to be when I was 10 or 11 as this was just before she got the breast cancer that eventually killed her.
