Educator, Husband, Father (two awesome young men), Christ Follower living in Lake Forest Park, Washington (at the north end of Lake Washington in Seattle). Born in Denver. Grew up in Helena, MT. Graduated from Montana State University, Bozeman. Began teaching in the Northshore School District (Wodinville/Bothell/Kenmore, WA). Have enjoyed focusing on science/STEM-based competition, outdoors (whitewater rafting, backpacking, fishing & exploring), board games/cards, reading, music, theater (with my wife :-) ), Bible study, investing, family, yard work and community service.

Currently (Spring 2019), I’ve been leading two Boy Scout Crews as we prep for a 50-Miler in New Mexico and train those in our immediate area who are interested taking on whitewater rafting (up to Class IV).

My wife is an attorney (family law) who helps restore order from the chaos and brokenness that divorce brings to people’s lives. She also serves as the National Director for Free Methodist Bible Quizzing.

I am proud of my two sons who are both doing extremely well academically. My oldest is just finishing up his Jr. year studying Computer Science at University Of Washington (and is only 17 years old). My youngest is a people person who thrives on friendship, (lots of) swimming (USS), outdoor activities, reading (Brian Sanderson being a favorite) and building stuff.
