Matthew 24:1 Jesus left the temple and was going away, when his disciples came to point out to him the buildings of the temple. 2 But he answered them, “You see all these, do you not? Truly, I say to you, there will not be left here one stone upon another that will not be thrown down. 3 As he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” 4 And Jesus answered them, “See that no one leads you astray. 5 For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will lead many astray. 6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines, pestilences and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are but the beginning of the birth pains.
In the above scripture one key word that so many overlook when reading this passage is the word `` All ” in verse 8. As of today April 21, 2020 let’s look at what is going on in the world! Now I have to admit that I am not the brightest light bulb in the bunch, but come on; it does not take a rocket scientist to figure out that there are a lot of so called religious leaders out there who are leading people astray claiming that they have a better way. While Syria, Afghanistan, and Iraq wars are well known ongoing wars. There are over 40 known conflicts going on in the world on every continent per The Daily Mail. Rumors of war; in Iran, North Korea, and Russia; per all major news outlets. You can’t help but notice if you watch the news that just about every country in the world is at odds over either trade, territory or with this Covid 19 pandemic. Famine is affected four countries and more than 20 million people, including nearly two million in Nigeria, three million in Somalia, five million in Sudan and 14 million in Yemen. Covid 19 was recognized it as a pandemic on 11 March2020. As of 21 April 2020, more than 2,494,915 cases of COVID-19 have been reported in over 200 countries and territories, resulting in approximately 171,249 deaths per Wikipedia. The frequency of earthquakes has sharply increased in the world. The world seems to have entered a period when the seismic situation is becoming more unstable and earthquakes are occurring more often. Over the past 10 days, there have been more than 140 major earthquakes in the world per; mongreenstats.com. Come this Thursday the Southeast will be under the gun for the third time in two weeks from severe weather and just the other day I read this hurricane season is going to be very active, creation groans under the weight of sin. All these are but the beginning of the birth pains. Interesting to say the least, remember the word All. But God made a way to escape the impending doom and that is faith in his son Jesus Christ!
