For me, Americana are specific good or nostalgic things from before the late 60's (aside from standard cliches like Mom and apple pie etc..). But Americana is actually a moving target since some younger folks have no idea what "our" Americana was like. It keeps changing and hopefully we can prevent the Leftists from outlawing or obliterating it.

Whether your ancestors came from England or someplace else in Europe, nothing says REALLY traditional lifestyle, than Chivalry. Men were not supposed to be crass, crude or just plain mean. And they weren't wusses, either.. there was that little thing called the Crusades, after all. We should all be a little more brave gallant Knight.. your fair Lady will definitely like it too!

For a decidedly early take on an American traditional lifestyle look no further than the classic Daniel Boone TV show from the 60's with Fess Parker (recently bought the complete series dvd to re-experience it). Sure people still take pics to cherish but you could drown in the selfies on Facebook or Twitter (twadder, twiddle?) whose sole purpose is ... no purpose at all. Yeah, I'm old and remember my 35mm and even 110 and Polaroid cameras. Maybe it's because film cost $ or even took time to send away to process that it was a little more magical. Take good pics & enjoy them!
