I am deeply saddened by the events that have occurred over the last day in Kenosha, WI. I have a close friend who lives in that locality, and I hope she is doing well, despite the circumstances.
The attached photo about sums up my current band rehearsal situation (tongue-in-cheek, folks) -so I just practice more alone at home--
On a lighter note, I'm a long-time clarinet player, and when I need to calm down, I listen to introspective, Classical acoustic Spanish guitar music--for example, Joaquin Rodrigo (1901-1999), Check out the 2nd movement of his "Concierto Andaluz" for 4 guitars and orchestra--there is a string entrance some 3 1/4-3 1/2 minutes in that is so soothing--it's awesome! (The whole movement lasts approximately 10 minutes--)
Hopefully I'll keep my at length posts fewer and farther between--
Extremely tough call--in my state the dairy and tourism industries are taking a big time hit due to the coronavirus (I have a cousin who runs a farm in the central part of the state, but wasn't able to find out how he's doing). How does one balance economy vs. health of people in Milwaukee and Madison (where, according to what I've heard to this point, most of the virus cases have come up?.)
