Get your bicycles all in order... get them tuned-up, checked over... and replace any parts that are worn or getting worn.
I have a feeling that having safe and reliable bicycles for each person in your household will be helpful during the harder times that are coming. (You do not have to use any fuel or electricity for a good ol' fashioned bicycle. You just hop on, pedal and start riding it. Bicycles were also used during the oil shortage in the 1970's as well. Bicycles are a great resource all throughout history)
During the great depression bicycles were used a lot, and the people that had reliable bicycles benefited from having them.

Note: I do work on bicycles, I can perform basic bicycle tune-ups, install parts, and do bicycle adjustments. I only charge for labor and you must supply your own parts.
I do accept donated bicycles and bicycle trailers, some of them I refurbish and donate them to local people in need of a bicycle, and some of the donated bicycles I sell so I may purchase parts to fix other bicycles.
