Can we change America?

We cannot become something we are not within our own self.

We cannot hope for peace we do not have.

We cannot expect change when we will not make the effort to bring about that change.

So, what does a better, more beautiful America look like to you?

It starts with you and I making the conscience decision to be that America, and to do the positive and constructive things that we need to do first.

When we fail in this fundamental, those who lust for darker things will step into the void that we who do nothing, leave behind.

The light must shine, or there will be darkness.

Be the light.

Think Massively!

We need to learn to think massively. The world around us is facing massive problems that desperately need massive solutions.

The problem is that we have come to the table with small thinking, little ideas, and tiny solutions.

Let me give an example…

Close to 1 billion people do not know if they will have a meal today!

How have we been taught to respond?

“We will say a prayer for you.”
“Let’s have a carwash to raise funds to feed the poor.”
“Let’s have a collection Sunday and pass the plate for a special offering.”
Etc.

As well intentioned as these responses are, they make almost zero difference on the scale of 1 billion people who don’t know where the next morsel will come from. This is an example of small ideas and tiny solutions.

Now consider the following…

Jesus said, “The Kingdom is like a seed…”

Take a seed.

Plant it.

Harvest its fruit.

Take the seed from the fruit.

Plant it.

Harvest the fruit. You now have more than you can handle.

Share the seed with your neighbors and teach them to do the same.

When we begin to truly understand this Kingdom principle, we will see that there is no excuse for poverty – except when we live in the land of small ideas, and limited thinking.

If one seed can feed the world, what about the God-given seeds that are in you?

Truth is like a ship’s compass

A ship’s captain is no more than a fool, when he turns from trusting his compass, to trusting his own senses.

This is the nature of truth. It points towards true north, and can be universally trusted around the world. (Although there are a few magnetic disturbances in some places that will cause a compass to give a false reading, a compass will always stay true, and it will always be a reliable guide. In fact the disturbance can be easily detected, by simply stepping away from it, and seeing how the compass will always return back to true north, thus exposing the distortion.)

We all have a compass of truth within. It is the place where we cannot lie to our self, because truth is what it is, no matter what we think or feel, no matter how much we like or dislike, no matter how much we throw tantrums, cancel, burn down or hate others.

Truth will forever remain as it is, because The Truth is forever The Truth!

So, what will the compass for your life be?

Hatred?
Politics?
Confusion?
Opinion?
Fear?
Emotion?
Ego?
And so on…

A ship’s compass is a relatively small component of the ship. It does nothing more than to speak in a still small voice,

“This is the way. Follow me!”

Our education has taught us to follow everything else, but not this one thing….

The internal, (and eternal), compass of truth.

We all know its voice is there, but we have been taught that the loud shouting voices are more important, and so we lose our ability to listen, and to hear as we should.

The compass of truth is never wrong. It is always 100% right – all the time!

Teach your children to follow The Truth.

It will give them wisdom, and keep them safe.

It will guide us through the rocky channels, and stormy times ahead.

The Truth is what it is.

Rock solid.

Your compass for life.

Where you need to invest your time
What is wisdom, to bail water out of a sinking boat or to build a better one?

Imagine that you are in a sinking boat. It is old. The timbers are worm-holed and rotten. The water is pouring in, and you know deep down that you are on a sinking vessel that cannot survive the coming storms.

Now imagine that you stop at an island with the option to stay on the boat and keep bailing water, or to stay on the island, where you have a chance of building your own vessel.

What should you do?

What is wisdom?

The choice is made harder by the fact that most people will choose to stay on the boat. After all, they have built their life there. Their cabins are comfortable, and they have a sense of security because the ship has been sailing for a long time, and “Surely, it will not sink!”

What is wisdom?

And, what should you do?

This may be a good time to consider Noah, a man who had to face the same question.

We know the story, and we are familiar with the outcome.

The one point that I want to drive home in our community is that we have to make a choice to make a fundamental shift in our mindsets. That shift has to do with where we will choose to spend our time and energy and what we will choose to do with our time and energy.

I’d suggest to you, that much of the world will continue to shout “The water is coming in! Panic, oh please panic! The water is coming in!” … to what end? You can see how this is working out and where it is going.

I’d also suggest to you that when we grow a strong community of people who commit to build something better together, there is a hope, and there is a future.

It is with this in mind that I encourage your input and dialogue. Don’t be here to spectate. Be involved by being a creative solution finder, a business builder, family developer, a coach, a friend, a mentor, and whatever God has put on your heart to be a positive world-changing inspiration, influence, and solution.

Let’s stop trying to pump dark, septic waters overboard, only to have the same dark and septic water flood right back in again through the holes below the water line.

It’s time to build better boats, better systems, better businesses, and stronger, safer families and communities together.
Starting right here, right now.

To be effective, we need to grow our community as big, and as fast as possible. Please play your part.
