Why do so many people flail away trying to figure out how to do life? It seems like they face a problem, think a solution, apply it, step back in horror when it doesn’t solve anything. Wouldn’t it be smarter to have a relationship with the creator of all things? Get to know that one, listen to their advice and apply it. God is awesome, perfect, compassionate, loving and waiting for anyone to simply accept His free gift for having a perfect relationship with Him. Unfortunately many are so in love with themselves they don’t have room for even a perfect person. Jesus Christ paid the way be dyeing judged for our sin. Sin is anything that violates God’s perfection. They face problems, a perfect person wants to solve their problems, yet they are too smart to let this person solve them. Rather then simply believing in Christ, they choose to continue banging their heads as they try to figure it out. For by grace are you saved ( not only from your spiritual problem but from all problems ) through faith ( no longer trying to solve your problem but allow God do all the work ) and that not of yourself ( stop trying to solve your problem ) for it is a gift ( free to us ) of God ( perfect Christ being judged for imperfect me ). Not of works ( in fact you can’t do anything to earn it ) lest anyone should boast ( there’s that pride thing. Ephesians 2:8-9

As the people of our country face the Coronavirus and the reported deaths, it hopefully should cause them to seriously think about death. It seems that many people are seriously aroused over this outcome. To many the idea of death places them into the unknown. Many live their lives refusing to seriously search for answers. Yet when anyone try’s to declare their desire to get back to a more normal way of living, taking responsibility for their actions, many of these same people are upset. If they had confidence about their afterlife they would be able to be less fearful and more objective in dealing with the virus.

Today is a day set apart to remember those who have been willing to lay down their lives to protect our freedoms. Unfortunately many people do not understand the meaning of freedom as understood by our founders. Because of freedom of religion we have been able to pursue a relationship with God and at the same time allow others the freedom to disagree with what we believe. Since eternity is a forever term it is important that every person have the freedom to search and come to a determination of what God means to them. When Christ died on the cross for our sins, He provided a solution but at the same time doesn’t force anyone to believe. That is the ultimate in freedom. Again I thank our great men and women who ales this freedom possible.
