Hi Everybody

Take heed to the ministry

which you have received

in the Lord.

Paul admonishing Archippus

in Colossians 4:17

Notice the word isn't 'from'.

It is 'IN'.

Greek 'en'.

Spiritual gifts can only effectively operate

when we are 'in' the Spirit

and better still in unity with

our fellow brothers and sisters

in Christ.

Remember John the Revelator

was

'in the Spirit on the Lord's Day'

when he heard the voice of Jesus

to write down the Revelation.

the ministry of reconciliation.

Hi Everybody

Since we have this ministry,

as we have received mercy,

we do not lose heart.

But we all,

with unveiled face,

beholding as in a mirror

the glory of the Lord,

are being transformed

into the same image

from glory to glory,

just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Therefore,

since we have this ministry,

as we have received mercy,

we do not lose heart.

For we do not preach ourselves,

but Christ Jesus the Lord,

and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.

Hi Everybody

Nor do I count my life

dear to myself,

so that I may finish my race with joy,

and the ministry which I received

from the Lord Jesus,

to testify

to the gospel

of the grace of God.

Paul speaking in Acts 20:24

After various adventures

Paul ended up in Rome

under house arrest.

And it was within the confines of this house arrest

that his letters to the saints of various churches

are written.

Here, under house arrest,

he was able to pen an enduring legacy

to the whole church worldwide

throughout the ages.

From my house I am able to pen these Scriptures everyday.

Let us be willing

for Jesus to place us

where we may be

the most effective for Jesus.

Hi Everybody

In all things

we commend ourselves

as ministers of God.

We give no offense in anything,

that our ministry may not be blamed.

But in all things

we commend ourselves

as ministers of God:

in much patience,

in tribulations,

in needs,

in distresses,

in stripes,

in imprisonments,

in tumults,

in labours,

in sleeplessness,

in fastings;

2 Corinthians 6:4 of 3-5

but the list continues to v.10

What are we prepared to endure

for the sake of Christ

and for the gospel?
