With the national elections in the USA happening tomorrow (Tuesday, Nov 3, 202 I am aware that many people on both sides of the discussion are genuinely fearful of the outcome.
In my devotions this morning I read Psalm 121. Then I did something I don't usually do during devotion time. I started to study and meditate very deeply on my scripture reading.
For those who don't read your Bible, have a Bible or know where to find things in the Bible I will transcribe it (from the HCSB translation). {1} "I lift my eyes toward the mountains." (comment here from me - insert "Government" for "mountains".) "Where will my help come from? {2} My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. {3} He will not allow your foot to slip; your Protector will not slumber. {4} Indeed, the Protector of Israel (add the USA) does not slumber or sleep. {5} The LORD protects you; the LORD is a shelter right by your side. {6} The sun will not strike you by day or the moon by night. {7} The LORD will protect you from all harm; He will protect your life. {8} The LORD will protect your coming and going both now and forever." The only provision is that you have to REALLY trust HIM.
