It is Monday and maybe the most important week of Christianity has passed with celebrating the resurrection after the sacrifice made FOR US. Will anything change, will we? I wonder if this Easter will be different with long term affects as "we the people" move closer to God as he awaits with open arms. On Friday nite and Saturday nite I watched two epic biblical stories "Ben Hur" and "The Ten Commandments". I have seen both several times and will continue to watch them in the future as a reminder of God's mercy, grace, and power. I wonder though if I have watched these movies on an Easter weekend or if this was something different and if so...WHY. Maybe someone out there could verify when these movies ran...always Easter weekend or not. As I watched "The Ten Commandments" for hours on Saturday night it took on a all new perspective. For the first time, I noticed the similarity of that story long ago and what is happening today. Moses...one man...chosen to deliver the people from the bondage of Egypt...a seemingly impossible task. Often challenged, criticized, and questioned by the very people he was trying to free. In the end, he achieved his calling and the people were free. Today, was one man chosen for this job of freeing the people from the bondage of "the swamp" and all that goes with it. Always criticized and questioned, but still he marches on, but now in the shadows. If true that the military asked him to run for president in 2012 and again in 2016 so they would have an ally to help fight the "enemy" which is the oath they take, not politics, but to protect the people, WOW, what an endorsement. The military is often challenged and quickly criticized when things don't go right, but remain the most "trusted" institute. "We the People" await the conclusion to this ongoing movie and hope for a happy ending.
