On Thanksgiving Day just past, I was at my daughter's house and my dog caught sight of my daughter's cat. Well he took off after the cat and I took off after my dog to try to keep him from hurting the cat. I have a pretty bad sense of balance probably secondary to early dementia.

So, I ran up the stairs after my dog who was chasing my daughter's cat. Just as I got to the top of the stairs, I lost my balance and started falling down the stairs. There were 13 steps from top to bottom. I fell head first on my back. As I started going down the stairs, my head kept getting smacked at the base of my head in the back. Then I heard a soft voice say "Be Still". I immediately knew that was God's voice.

When it was over I wasn't sure I could stand but figured I may as well try so I did. Much to my surprise, my crunched up legs held me up with no pain in my legs. My upper body was another story. I went into the bathroom to check my shoulders which were extremely painful. I pulled down my blouse and my right shoulder was significantly lower than my left. I thought it was dislocated. I prayed and asked God to heal me because I didn't want to go to a hospital and didn't trust any doctor.

That night was pretty rough but I was able to get some sleep but left the dishes for the morning. Surprisingly, I was able to wash the dishes very slowly and very carefully. Within 2 days, my right shoulder was once again level with my left shoulder. Every day I got better a little bit. I never had to see a doctor.

A couple of days ago, I was remembering hearing what I believed was God's voice telling me to "Be Still". It bothered me a bit because I didn't hear it well enough to be able to tell if it was a man's voice or a woman's voice. I also have constant ringing in my ears. So I prayed and asked God to whisper in my ear again a bit louder so I could hear him better and He did! This time, I could tell it was a man's voice but it was so kind and gentle and sweet that I then understood why it was a bit hard to hear. God's voice sounds like a man but he is so loving, kind and gentle that unless it's a bit louder, it could make one think it was a woman's voice. He turned up the volume just enough for me to know for certain that it was indeed God who warned me to "Be Still". And then he healed me as I had asked so I never had to see a doctor.
