In a further dilution of Brexit, Britain’s new Labour government continues to tell journalists that “we are not considering a youth mobility scheme” with the European Union—that is to say, a return in some form of free movement. Yet when Spanish prime minister Pedro Sánchez made the case for a UK-Spain migration agreement at a meeting of the European Political Community (EPC) earlier this month, reportedly, UK PM Sir Keir Starmer was not dismissive of the idea.
