(1). Accuracy of guiding mechanism of die. If the precision requirement is high, it is appropriate to choose a smaller clearance value; on the contrary, it is appropriate to increase the clearance in order to improve the die life.

(1). Stamping parts of raw materials.

In actual production, the poor thickness tolerance of raw materials for external press parts, fluctuation of material performance, poor surface quality (such as rust) or unclean (such as oil), etc., will cause adverse consequences such as increased wear of die working parts and easy chipping.

For this reason, attention should be paid to.

①. As far as possible, use the raw materials with good stamping process to reduce the stamping deformation force;

②. Before stamping, the grade, thickness and surface quality of raw materials should be strictly checked, and the raw materials should be wiped clean and the surface oxidation and rust should be removed if necessary;

③. According to the stamping process and the type of raw materials, softening treatment and surface treatment can be arranged if necessary, as well as the selection of suitable lubricant and lubrication process.

(2). Displacement and lapping.

The unreasonable reciprocating feeding method and the too small lap edge value will often cause the die to wear sharply or the convex and concave die to gnaw. Therefore, while considering the improvement of material utilization, it is necessary to reasonably select the lining method and lap value according to the processing batch of parts, quality requirements and mold fit clearance in order to improve mold life.

①. Material performance should have high hardness (58 ~ 64HRC) and high strength, and high wear resistance and sufficient toughness, heat treatment deformation is small, a certain degree of thermal hardness;

②. Process performance is good. Die work parts processing and manufacturing process is generally more complex. Therefore, it must have the adaptability to various processing processes, such as malleability, machinability, hardenability, hardenability, quenching crack sensitivity and grinding processability.
