In a new campaign that will run from now until the 3rd of January 2022 players can obtain an upgraded version of the iconic "Partyhat" which is a item that was originally only accessible during a holiday event way back in 2001. It was initially available in red blue, yellow as well as white, purple or red in RuneScape's "The Golden Party Hat Hunt" quest will allow players to unlock one of the highly-sought cosmetics with a shiny sheen.

As the partyhats were originally only available for a short time and then were subsequently removed the lucky player to have one could sell them for billions in game coins. Jagex will be marking the event in the same way with a change to the in-game Grand Exchange location into "a Golden Party Hat winter wonderland".

The golden hat marks the final part (sorry) to the RuneScape's annual 20th-anniversary celebrations. It will launch alongside the reintroduction of the partyhat event, it's the fourth, and final part of the anniversary quest, Once Upon a Time, being played throughout the throughout the year.

Appropriately named Finale appropriately, the chapter can be described as "the conclusion of the adventure which explores RuneScape's past present, as well as future and ends the story's journey to the conclusion for Relomia, the quest's antagonist."

Finale will involve players visiting three places - the Black Knight's Fortress, the World Gate, and the island of Kami Shima, which may provide glimpses of future Futures. When they complete the chapter, it will reward gamers with "four Quest points, a new T5 magical dice with RS3 Gold.

The last reward track that unlocks during May's Quest Point Caravan, a moderate XP light,"Relomia's Shadow Rips Home Teleport's cosmetic Override, two Treasure Hunter keys" and "one further surprise to be discovered".
