The day of today (January 5,) Nex is unleashed on Old School Runescape after 90 percent of the players voted to approve the new update. Players can team with OSRS Gold clans of up to 80 players to fight the boss. The announcement states that Nex will also allow players to battled solo on private instances. Instances are unlocked by completing the Hard Combat Achievements tier, then you can buy an account for 150,000 GP to enter. Higher Combat Achievement tiers lower this cost.
In Nex, which is located in the Ancient Prison beneath the God Wars Dungeon, Nex can only be entered once those who have played the game have completed the Desert Treasure quest and a mini-quest to unlock an access point called the Frozen Door. This access point frozen in time has existed since the time that the Dungeon was established, but remained sealed, until now! Once inside the Prison players will have to battle through a huge army (featuring Spiritual Warriors, Mages, Rangers, and Blood Reavers) before reaching Nex herself.
Destroying Nex could earn players valuable rewards including an Ancient Godsword, Zaryte crossbow and the legendary Torva armour set and more. Every participant in the game can be guaranteed an exclusive item and the top performers bagging more loot.
The recommended requirements for level to use Nex are 70 ranged, 70 Strength, 70 Agility 70 Hitpoints. Currently, players cannot play Monster Examine on Nex. If players attempt to cast the spell, a message will appear in the game chat stating "You can't get the statistics of their character".
The Fifth General is expected to be featured in the forthcoming Shattered Relics League, which begins in RSC on the 19th of January, and will continue until March 2 after it was delayed from 2021.
