As reported by Wowhead users have noticed that several dungeons in Burning Crusade Classic have seen changes in WoTLK Gold the way enemies behave that are essentially preventing them from being placed in groups or kited together. In the new scenario, enemies will transfer to players trying to walk on ledges and walls in order to avoid harm. Other players are being immune to different crowd-control effects, such as stuns, and they slow down after a specific amount of time. Blizzard also introduced an XP penalty for players of lower levels grouping with higher-level ones, another change to combat boosting.

The changes come at the same time that Blizzard launched"Joyous Journeys," a "Joyous Journeys" event, which grants 50percent bonus points on XP from now until the release of Wrath of the Lich King Classic on September 26.

Changes are similar to ones implemented in WoW Classic's Season of Mastery last year, but now also affect Burning Crusade Classic and, according to an Blizzard forum thread from a few weeks ago, the upcoming Wrath of the Lich King Classic. Blizzard notes in that same blog post that the gold gained from boosters is often used for "illicit acts," in which the majority of gold generated by boosters sold to players via third-party websites that violate the game's rules of service.

Judging from the reaction on the WoW Classic subreddit, players mostly are very happy with the change. Boosting became the primary method of leveling new characters, which resulted players quickly gaining level faster than expected. Since so many players relied on increasing their levels to attain max-levels quickly, players leveling the traditional method struggled to find other players around the world for dungeons or quests, which in turn pushed even many players to use boosters.

There are, however, many players disgruntled by the changes. Obviously players who performed increasing their boosting capabilities and earned lots of gold while performing the service are disappointed however, a lot of Mage as well as Paladin users who did not offer boosting services but would go on solo dungeons to try to get gold to buy WoTLK Gold feel penalized by Blizzard's changes. Those players have pointed out that it's not right for Blizzard to ban boosting when the company provides free character enhancements through the in-game store.
