The Giants' Mountaintop Catacombs is a dungeon in Elden Ring that is known for being one of the most difficult, but also one of the most rewarding.

The Giants' Mountaintop Catacombs are an ancient maze that are made up of a network of tunnels that are quite deep and that eventually lead underground to the Elden Ring. Because players can get there immediately after riding the Grand Lift of Rold, they don't have to spend as much time exploring the Mountaintops of the Giants as they might otherwise.

It takes some searching to locate the entrance to the Giants' Mountaintop Catacombs, and once you do, you'll discover that multiple Elden Ring foes are stationed there to defend the entrance. Keep in mind that navigating the catacombs won't be an easy task because they are riddled with hazards and have a maze-like layout.

How to Defeat the Giants and Complete the Mountaintop Catacombs in the Elden Ring

  • As is the case in the vast majority of catacombs, the door that leads to the boss's chamber is secured by some mechanism, and the players' objective is to locate the lever that will unlock the door

  • After descending the stairs at the Site of Lost Grace in the Giants' Mountaintop Catacombs, continue straight ahead toward the north

  • Knives will be hurled from the opposite side of the room by an Imp, and then another will fall from the ceiling

Following the elimination of the Imps, players of Elden Ring should proceed northward and follow the path until they reach the first elevator that descends. This will bring them to the location of the boss. Now, head to the left until you reach a room with three imps; one will ambush you, and the other two will throw pots at you from a distance. After you have finished them off, use the second elevator that has chains.

Proceed to the south until you reach a large room that contains a statue. From there, navigate to the right, ascend the stairs, and enter the next room on the left without setting off the trap.

The ground in this region is littered with enormous blades that move in an upward and downward motion, as well as exploding living jars. Before continuing, you should lure the jars, one at a time, to the entrance of the room in order to reduce the amount of damage taken while traversing the room.

Continue heading south, then enter the room on the left, and climb up the next set of stairs to find a number of Land Squirts waiting for you there. Keep moving forward while ignoring the enemies spawned by the Elden Ring, and then quickly exit the room to move on to the next one.

You need to avoid stepping on the trap as you descend from the window to the left and then descend once more. Although it may look the same, this is actually a different room full of Living Jars that are about to explode.

To find a chained elevator, head to the north of the map and activate it while staying on the ground. This will reveal a path. Make your way south after you have descended to the Giant Elden Ring Jar. After navigating your way around the platform, pull the lever to open the door to the boss's chamber. Take the elevator to the north, which is located after you descend, to get to the boss.
