The Windblume Event in Version 3.5 of Genshin Impact accounts introduces players to the enigmatic Hexenzirkel, a secret society of powerful mages. Hexenzirkel, which means "Circle of Witches" or "Coven" in German, comprises witches who possess incredible magical abilities. However, not all witches or mages in Teyvat are folks in this group, plus some even distance themselves from using it. Alice, who refers to the other folks Hexenzirkel as her sisters, is amongst the most prominent folks in the group. While the witches' abilities and powers are shrouded in mystery, some can have their own successors, like Mona. The group gathers for formal tea parties, but hardly anything else is known regarding activities.

The Hexenzirkel's true motives and goals will still be a mystery, and it is unclear whether their intentions are great or nefarious. It's been said they conduct explorations in Irminsul, but what they're seeking remains unknown. As players delve deeper into your world of Genshin Impact, they will often uncover more secrets about Alice and her fellow witches. The Hexenzirkel's significance in Teyvat's lore and history is undeniable, and they will often play a large role in the game's overarching story.

Hexenzirkel Members

Currently, you'll find six confirmed individuals the Hexenzirkel. During the "Joy Above the Clouds" quest, players were brought to them, being, Alice, Rhinedottir, Nicole, "J," "B," and "M." However, the initials in the latter three were revealed, leaving their true identities unknown. Fortunately, a couple of days later, the "Story Teaser: The Mages' Tea Party" unveiled their full names, combined with the names of these respective voice actors.

Interestingly, Hexenzirkel's tea party table has seven seats, potentially accessible to guests such as the Anemo Archon. Additionally, Hexenzirkel's artwork displays eight witches, although only six are actually officially confirmed. It's unclear if these witches represent specific elements or nations or why you can find more spots inside the artwork than confirmed members.

Alice

Alice, generally known as codename A, sports this position connected with an Elder from the Hexenzirkel and is probably one the few members that players find the most about thus far. As Klee's mother, Alice is introduced early on in the game and has now played a tremendous role in limited-time events including Midsummer Island Adventure and Summertime Odyssey. Despite her importance, little may be known about her looks except for the truth that she is an elf, comparable to Klee and Layla. Due to her elven heritage, Alice incorporates a longer lifespan than most humans in Teyvat.

Klee's personality has been said to be greatly relying on her mother, and Alice is called energetic, impulsive, and curious, yet also caring. By her description from the Windblume Event's story, she's also "the individual who would never lie". She is usually a renowned adventurer along with the author of the Teyvat Travel Guide. Alice's magical abilities are noteworthy, and she actually is described by Albedo being a near-omnipotent mage. She is skilled in astrology, alchemy, magic, and inventions.

Barbeloth

Barbeloth, a member of the Hexenzirkel known by the codename B, is often mentioned by her successor Mona. Mona often identifies her as being the "Old Hag," and claims that jane is a master of hydromancy and astrology. Although Barbeloth generally seems to focus on a narrow selection of magical disciplines, the girl with rumored to acquire immense power as she actually is a rival of Alice.

In a fascinating tidbit, players who may have completed the Windblume quest and encountered Klee and Mona together may learn that Barbeloth carries a fondness for selecting hats, and in some cases helped Alice choose Klee's signature hat. As Barbeloth is considered to hail in the Fontaine region, players may uncover more information about Mona's enigmatic master in future updates, beginning with Version 4.0. Alongside J, B would be the only other character, who was given a description from the "prophecy" letter.
