‘Diablo 4’ Devs Say Druid Is One Of The Strongest Endgame Classes In Testing

There would be a certain contingent of players who have been not wild about how exactly Druid felt throughout the first two d4 buy items betas. But despite some buffs, which boosted companion skill damage, reduced ultimate cooldowns, and added Maul and Pulverize alterations, some remained as concerned they weren’t sufficiently strong compared to the other four classes.

Diablo 4

Well, based on cheap Diablo 4 items associate game director Joe Piepiora (talking with Gamestar), Druid is a class that dramatically scales up in the late game, so much in fact that everyone is underestimating its strength during these early levels:

One main issue is the fact that unlike three of the five classes, Druids were not able to run the mission to get their Spirit Animal system to unlock the industry core part from the kit. It’s like playing a Necromancer with half its summons missing. It really doesn’t provide you with a sense of exactly what the class is capable of doing without it. Druids and Barbarians couldn’t obtain level 15 unlock because those quests happened outside the beta zones, so there’s no real method to tell the way they will perform in the long run until launch.

In addition to the core class abilities you receive from those quests, you will find important skills at the end of the skill tree that players don't reach with beta skill points. Past that, once you receive into the paragon system for those classes, you will find legendary nodes to change things further, not to mention, legendary and unique items with ability-altering and buffing perks that were not contained in the beta. Or you might not have gotten the great beta drops, like should you have missed the one which turns your wolves into werewolves as I got, it might have felt way worse.

While I think it’s perfectly fine to evaluate how classes felt in the early hours of the beta, I think it’s pretty clear that nothing could be fully judged before the full game is live. That said, Blizzard is receptive to player complaints. While they may argue these classes will feel good later, they'd have no problem buffing and nerfing according to beta feedback, which they did with Barbarian and Druid specifically. And when they realized they went too much with a Necromancer skeleton Nerf, they reverted it midway with the final Server Slam. It’s likely to be a very reactive sandbox, it appears.

So, should you be excited to experience Druid but disappointed by their performance within the beta, I wouldn’t write them off at this time. We’ll find out the way they feel when fully unleashed in only under fourteen days now.
