New Haven Railroad class EF-4 electrics 301 and 304 prepare to depart Cedar Hill Yards in New Haven, Conn., with a freight for New York City on September 17, 1966. Built in 1956-57 by General Electric for the Virginian Railway and absorbed by the Norfolk & Western in 1959, the EF-4's were purchased by the NH in 1963 and later ran for Penn Central and Conrail.
