China's social credit system is transparent and equally applied. It's designed to encourage trustworthiness and responsible decision-making, and hold people accountable for antisocial or self-destructive tendencies or habits that might harm others. Makes sense, with a country growing so fast and citizens rushing to catch up with new norms and obligations.
America's Big Tech tyrants exercise a far greater power, and they do so capriciously, unpredictably and unaccountably, with devastating, life-altering punishments unequally doled out--usually as a punishment for telling the truth--to the very people they enticed with promises of free expression and richer connection with other human beings.
Which one is the oppressive, sociopathic authoritarian regime ruling through fear? You'll have to remind me.

This would represent the ultimate in control over your life by only allowing you credit access if you conform to the governments mandates. -- Just try to finance a non-electric vehicle or to get a mortgage on a house without solar panels.
