This is definitely not a well-received topic, but it is vitally important! It’s a key factor in WHY wickedness seems to be prevailing. I say, “seems to be,” because God will only allow things to continue for so long. Allowing compromise of the standards in God’s Word into your life, as a truly saved believer, WILL distract you, discourage you, and destroy your resolve to do right...IF you despair and choose to give in and continue on that downward spiral. I’ve learned this the hard way. You CAN fight against it, even if the circumstances in which you find yourself cannot be changed. The key is to die daily to “self,” have a heart truly surrendered to the Lord and to doing right, stand your ground, respectfully and prayerfully, and diligently put on the armor available for the battle! ~ Ephesians 6:10-20
