A DEAD MAN ON THE ROAD IN INDIA
While driving to the next village in our India meetings, we saw a dead man lying in the middle of the road (not shown). Someone put out stones to divert traffic around the dead man's body so that it would not be run over. We saw the wreckage and realized that there had been a terrible accident. I asked why the dead man was not moved off of the road. I was told that when the police come, and start asking questions, the people will say that they know nothing about it. Anyone admitting to knowing anything about what happened will be taken to jail and arrested for having something to do with the man's death. People just go about their business as though the dead body is not there. That is the way things work in India.
